Last week's project and the first official recipe!!

Be on the look out!! In the next couple days, this is what you can expect to learn!

Last week's ordeal was a heaping batch of Car Bomb Shotcakes! If any of you are drinkers at all, you're probably familiar with an Irish Car Bomb. For those who are less familiar this drink is half a pint of Guinness Stout with a shot of Bailey's Irish Creme mixed with Irish Whiskey dropped in and then promptly chugged. (Chugged because the Bailey's curdles when everything is all mixed together). Sounds pretty hardcore huh? It is. But it's delicious!!!

So, I figured 3 types of alcohol that create a delicious party beverage surely must be equally (if not more) delicious in cake form! I shrank the whole cupcake idea into minis and the Shotcakes were born! Just imagine, chocolate stout cake, Bailey's Irish Creme frosting, topped with a sweet whiskey glaze in little bite size bits....

If there was ever an instance of Heaven on Earth, I'm convinced it happened in my kitchen last weekend. Keep and eye out for how to make these! They're a process, but I assure you that they'll be a hit!

This week's endeavor is definitely going to be fall-themed. I miss New York and the summer to fall season change so that's inspired me!

I've decided on something pretty simple, and they're going to be my new twist on the traditional half-moon cookie: Harvest Half-Moons! They'll be just a simple cut-out sugar cookie with one half dipped in a mix of chocolate and peanut butter.

Come back soon to see how they turned out!
